Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico was born to an adored family of musicians. Growing up she was influenced by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the more traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romantic ballads. Ana has a passion for the opera and tango genres as well as any form of dramatic performance. Ana started learning how to sing and play music from an early age, along alongside her mother. She was given more formal singing instruction when she was 16 years old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. In the following years, she was a student at the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. When she was a student, as well when she was a professional young in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups and choirs. When she moved in the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present residence in the southern part of California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. The passion and love she has in music, art and performing has her involved with a variety of local initiatives as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor at the Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing classic Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire other people to follow in her footsteps.
