Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress best famous for her role in Beta Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. Her career began in the 1980s. The role she played as Anil Kapoor in Tezaab made her extremely famous. Then, she starred alongside Aamir as part of Dil. Her birthplace was in a Mumbai middle class family and started dancing at a young age. As a teenager, she began acting and struggled for years as the majority of her early films failed. She eventually found success and became one of the top actors in the Indian film industry. Following her wedding, she took some time away from performing before returning. More recently she played in a crucial character in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggles of women across India. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which, eight were awarded. Padma Shri - the fourth highest civilian honor in India - was given to Dixit. She is also acknowledged for her work in the field of charity.
